The machine has been conceived to further separate high-density contaminants from used water of screening machines such as liquid-pulp 3-4-stage Cyclones (cleaners),
SEPARSAND can be also used at every step requiring removing sands of different sizes- very fine ones as well- from fluids coming from different sources, Fluids to be treated are sent by gravity or via a purnp into a settlement tank, taking care to reduce turbulence and the fluid passing speed as much as possible. The shape and capacity of the settlement tank should be duly calculated according to the volume to be treated in order to achieve the best conditions so that the contaminants that accumulate at the bottom of the tank settle fast. The material settled is removed by a horizontal screw conveyor at a low speed and at a suitable step, and sands are conveyed to an angled screw conveyor and discharged into a collection tank. On the other hard, by underflow or overflow, water is sent to be used in pulp preparation circuits or to undergo other treatments.
